Team Facilitation
High Performing Team Facilitation Skills Workshop

Are your team meetings flat and lifeless? Do you seem to have a lot of tangential discussions that have little to do with the agreed upon agenda? Do you have difficulty getting your team to be creative? Do you have difficulty seeking real input from your team, preferring to create the illusion of input by asking for ideas and then doing what you wanted to do in the first place? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, our Team Facilitation Skills workshop will greatly improve your leader effectiveness

This 3-day session will focus on the skills needed to be an effective leader/facilitator of the team process. Through classroom discussion, role-plays simulations and intensive feedback, participants will practice the concepts and techniques needed to make team decisions that are of high quality and generate high levels of commitment. Course content will focus on four major areas:
  • How teams develop and how they get thrown off track.
  • Behaviors that are important for team leaders and members.
  • Group dynamics and dealing with challenging behaviors.
  • Tools/job aids for effective facilitation.
The overall classroom approach will be to introduce a concept, discuss its relevance to team facilitation, have participants engage in a simulation that requires the use of the concept and then receive peer and instructor feedback on their effectiveness in using the concept. Each participant will have the opportunity to facilitate a small group session.
