About The Alliance Education Group
The Alliance Education Group, (AEG) was founded in October 1991 by two former members of Ernst & Young's (E&Y) Client Education Group, Joseph Camardese and Michael DeGiorgi. Camardese, a former E&Y partner, and DeGiorgi, former senior manager, bring over 40 years of combined education and consulting experience to AEG.
AEG's mission is to help our clients develop a skilled workforce and effective leaders, through management education programs. We coach our clients to be coaches within their own companies. We strongly believe that coaching leads to leverage and leverage is the key to success in today's business environment.
Joseph E. (Jody) Camardese, Jr.
Unlike a lot of educators, Jody started his work life as an accountant. Participants relate to the fact that he knows what it's like to be on the front lines everyday. They also like the structure and organization he brings to his presentations, while still generating a lot of participant interaction. They also appreciate the fact that he can make even a potentially dry subject very interesting and entertaining.
Before co-founding AEG, Jody was the partner in charge of Education Services in Ernst & Young's client training group. He received a BS degree in accounting from the University of Maryland. He has over 20 years experience in the design, development, management and presentation of education programs on management development, teambuilding, consulting skills, finance, accounting, auditing, computer systems and information systems auditing. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the Washington Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and volunteers for the Meals On Wheels program in Howard County, MD. Prior to joining the client education group of Ernst & Young, Jody was an auditor and Information Systems auditor in the Washington Office of E&Y.
Michael A. (Mike) DeGiorgi
Mike is a much sought after instructor, consultant and coach, who brings a blend of experience, humor and intensity to anything he facilitates. Mike developed each of AEG's management development workshops, which are highly praised for their focus on "real life" issues and skills. Participants especially value the way Mike gives feedback. He pulls no punches, cuts quickly to the heart of a problem yet has a light and nimble way of getting even the most resistant participants to open up.
Prior to starting AEG, Mike led Ernst & Young's management training programs for E&Y clients. He has a BS degree in Social Work from George Mason University and an MA in Human Resource Development from Marymount College of Virginia. A former instructor on the Marymount Business Department faculty, he taught "Organization Behavior". His humorous articles about workplace dynamics have appeared in "Working Smart", a leading management education newsletter, as well as the "Sales and Marketing Training Journal." He has over 20 years experience in training design and delivery, with a focus on management development, teambuilding, executive coaching and consulting skills training. Mike is a member of the American Society for Training and Development. He also served for 7 years as Board Vice-Chairman of "Volunteer Emergency Families for Children", a statewide child advocacy program in Virginia. Prior to his consulting career, Mike worked as a family counselor and Director of Foster Care for the Fairfax County Juvenile Court System.
John S. Martin
John loves to teach! There is virtually no set of group dynamics that he worries about getting in the middle of and participants enjoy his calm demeanor and non-judgmental approach to teaching.

In this role he authored and implemented E&Y's approach to continuous improvement, including the role out of process improvement teams, best practices, and customer satisfaction. His responsibilities included the design and delivery of training programs for management and staff. He pioneered the development of technology training for partners and senior managers.
